hi guys, any body using IE 7 with jfw 6.20? am i correct in thinking jfw is not supporting IE 7, until later releases. I can use it but data is not captured, when in forms mode. a fine example of this is in one of my board posts. other area is when logging in, user details not reconized etc.

Earlier versions of JAWS don't like the way Internet Explorer is written. That's why you get the problems with the text fields and combo boxes because it upsets the cursor and won't let it move when it needs to. Just uninstall Internet Explorer 7 and it'll automatically go back to IE6, then go in to the tools menu and turn the automatic update off so it won't try to update Explorer till you upgrade to JAWS 8. JAWS 7 and previous versions of JAWS and IE7 are not at all a happy combination.

only jaws 8 works well with IE 7 from what i've done so far. once you get to jaws 8, you won'at want to go back to IE 6 again

Also jaws 7.1 works well with IE 7. Any way IE7 sucks!

I have got a question about i7.
How accessible is the RSS feature of it? How does it work? How do we add RSS addresses and more importantly how do we read RSS feeds or podcasts that we downloaded? It this feature is accessible enough i might download it but appart from that i6 is good enough for me.
I am using supernova 6.5 which supports it. They released a map file for it.
Thanks

good luck going back. Once you get 7 I hear you will have fun restoring 6. Thus is why I have not updated even though I have jfw 8 i'm sure IE7 has many bugs still.

no problem going back to IE 6, have done it three times now. you just remove via add and remove programmes, and job done

I just restored to IE 6 last night. Because I have jaws 7. It worked fine and plus I think IE 6 is better anyways.

Well, it seems as though the reviews of IE 7 and JAWS 7.10.417 are somewhat mixed, so I'll stick with IE 6 since I can't afford to upgrade JAWS, and my computer has been unstable for years, so any tinkering, such as upgrading and rolling back, I view with some high anxiety.

However, the ZoneBBS Hangman is killing speech, even after rebooting, so I'd like to track down what's doing that (even if I'm not able to fix it right now).
